Vehicle release requirements

Please note, for all police impounds to be released, the registered owner must be present. If they are unable to pick up vehicle, the authorized person must provide a notarized letter from the owner with original seal.

The notarized letter must include the owner name, vehicle information (year, make, model of vehicle as well as the vin and plate number) giving permission to the authorized person to handle the vehicle release.

Office hours

Office hours for police impounds are:

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm.

If a police impound release is needed after hours when the office is closed the required documents must be emailed to the office email at advancedtowingnj@gmail.com to review prior to someone arriving at the office. Once documents are approved, a time will be arranged for the pick up. Please note, there will also be an after hours fee included on the bill for any vehicle needing release during closed business hours.
